In Memoriam - Reggie Roby

For as long as I could remember, Reggie Roby was the most recognizable player on any team in any NFL game I ever watched. The reason being because he was an African American. I remember quite vividly the image of him receiving the snap, catching the ball, and his patented leg-lift like kick that sent the ball soaring. I don't remember ever seeing other African American punters, so that distinction along with Reggie Roby's excellence at his position truly make him remarkably unique. I hope the gates of the Hall of Fame open for him one day, not so much because of the color of his skin, but because of the way he played the game.

I'm Joe and that's how I see it.
